The National Translation Center

The National Translation Center, an organization of Ministry of Culture, Egypt. The National Translation Center was founded in 1995 in Cairo, Egypt. It has issued more than 2000 translated books from 34 languages in more than 13 scientific fields. Most of these translated books are works of quality in terms of translation, style, and structure due to the stages they have gone through, including reviewing, editing, and scientific arbitration by specialized scientific committees. The Center also respects the intellectual rights of authors and translators.

The National Translation Center cares about scientific activities and has organized several translation training sessions, workshops, symposiums, and scientific meetings. The Center has also launched two translation awards: Rifa'a Al Tahtawi Award for Translation and Youth Award for Translation. The Center has also several strategic alliances with many cultural agencies, translation centers, and publishers including The Korean Center for Arabic and Islamic Culture,Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, The National Center for Literal Translation in Korea,The Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey, The Swiss Arts Council;Pro Helvetia,and The French Center in Cairo. The Center cooperates also with other scientific organizations in its publications among them are Goethe Institute, The Italian Cultural Center, The  Denmark Arts Council, The Eritrean Cultural Center, The Polish Embassy in Cairo, the French Embassy in Cairo, and more than 216 foreign publishing houses.
