Teaching Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities

Dr. Bander Ibn Nasser Al-Otaibi and Dr. Haniyyah Mahmoud Ahmad Merza, the Saudi professors of Special Education at King Saud University, have been given their share of the awarded for their translation from English into Arabic of the book 'Teaching Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities', authored by Mark Wolrey, Melinda Ault and Patricia Doyle.

It deals with a number of topics describing how to effectively teach students with disabilities by emphasizing instructional procedures. These procedures form a set of strategies that when integrated into schooling, scaffold teaching and learning into a more effective organized curriculum.

The book combines both theoretical and applied aspects of special education for effectively educating this special segment of our society. The Arabic translation is distinguished in terms of its language and consistency with the English original.
