  • Dr. Mathieu Guidere, French national, who holds a PhD in Linguistics and Translation from Paris-Sorbonne University. Since 2011, he has been the “Chair Professor of Translation and Eastern Studies” at the University of Toulouse, France, and the director of the strategic research center for translation in Paris.  From 2007 to 2011, he was Professor Chair of Written Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, head of translation department and translation research center at the Geneva School, Switzerland, in addition to other positions relevant to translation. He is also the scientific supervisor of the book series specialized in translation published by De Boeck, Brussels-Paris. The candidate’s translations and authored works enriched the Francophone library. His contribution to improve the quality of translation and his participation in international conferences where he published more than thirteen books and a hundred papers in Islamic culture and Arabic language is unmistakable. Some of these books were translated into many international languages.
