The Translation Award in humanities and social sciences, from Arabic into other languages is jointly awarded to: 

Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Shaddadi (from Morocco) for his translation, from Arabic into French, of the book: Muqadimat Ibn Khaldun, Kitabu Al’ibar which is considered one of the most circulated and widely read intellectual works in the field of humanities. It is of significant and of core value, not only for Arab and Islamic heritage, but also for global ideology.

The translation is characterized by soundness and accuracy. Moreover, its language conforms to the quality and eloquence of the Arabic original.
