The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Translation announced the names of the winners of its session The ninth for the year 1440 AH - 2018, when the award’s board of trustees decided, after reviewing the report of the scientific committee of the award, to award the award in its six branches, which are.

• Translation Award in the field of efforts of institutions and bodies.

• The award for translation in the field of natural sciences from other languages ​​into Arabic
• Award for translation in the field of humanities from other languages ​​into Arabic
• Award for translation in the field of humanities from Arabic into other languages.

The award's Secretary General confirmed Dr. Saeed Bin Fayez Al Saeed that the library and the award have the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – God bless them – The award contributes to shaping the cultural values ​​that the Kingdom overlooks the world, and emphasizes the value of knowledge awareness in communicating with different cultures, and seeks to open scientific and knowledge windows between the Arabic language and other global languages ​​in order to identify the various scenes of civilizational, scientific and creative development in today's world.

Dr. Al-Saeed added that the award's general secretariat received In its ninth session, a number of nominations were made in the areas of the award, where the total number of nominations reached (134) between the work of a translator, an institution and a candidate for the efforts of individuals, in (8) languages ​​distributed over (104) works in addition to the nominated institutions and bodies, and the nominations came from (23) ) State and 47 arbitrators and court participated in the arbitration of this session.
